| Bio: | About us: You have reached the journal of The Wer Anarchist multiple system. We are plural, happy and functional, with no desire or need to integrate. We are strongly self-reliant, and are making a life with another empowered multiple ( ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} teamromy), with whom we would be married if gay marriage were legal in the U.S. Hopefully this will soon change - so long as one group is denied full recognition under the law, no one is truly free. Also, we believe that a large part of the mental health industry is just that: an industry, one that thrives on keeping people dependent rather than helping them get well. On the heels of that, we believe that damn few plurals benefit from being run through the mental health system, and we avoid it ourselves like the plague.These quasi-political views explain the "Anarchist" part of our journal name. It's pretty sad that folks who want to see everyone treated civilly are considered radical, but times they are a'changin'. The "Wer" part comes from a subgroup within our system. They're part of what we call the third wave, a group that took executive control of our system for about a decade, starting when we were 30. They were our first "fictives", folks that the first two waves had "created" for roleplay games. Freaked the older set out when these new ones came in, but all in all, it was a healthy change: you see, groups get tired of dealing with "outworld" stuff, and for us, letting a fresh bunch run things for a time helps prevent depression and burnout. So, wer-rats and elves. Now our system is run mostly by fictives from popular media - anime mostly, with a few folks from a Potterverse just to keep things lively. We're over the weirdness of it, and everyone is doing quite well, thank you very much. With our partner we have five beautiful cats, and we have several writers and craft-types in-system who are seriously looking into starting up an online business. Life is pretty tasty. Our friends policy: Currently we've entered a phase in our collective life where we're insulating ourselves a bit to concentrate on our own family and growth. This journal is, therefor, now friends only. A few of our older posts are still public, so if you need to reach us feel free to comment to one of those or PM us. A special note for those plurals who travel outside their own system: ours is a closed world, only open to our partner's system. If you try to come in, you will find the gates locked (most likely with wizarding folk guarding them, waiting to zap your ass back to your own world if you get that far). If you think you've gotten through, I hate to tell you it didn't happen - nothing personal, this is simply how we do things here. TL/DR?
